Why we started
Commuovere — to be moved to tears
It is an Italian word with no English equal. It describes the thing that happens when a place, or a table full of people, gets past your defences.
We named the company for a feeling, then spent years learning how to arrange for it.
We started in 2020, two people with the same idea: that the country most of us fly over is the one worth driving into. Since then we've run trips down the Makran coast, into the Kirthar range, out to the Thar, and north when the passes open.
We are now Khwaab by Commuovere — and Sitara Ghar, a house in Karachi where the gathering happens closer to home.
